Food Fortification Program Coordinator

Responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of all program activities, for promoting the food fortification agenda and to assist in fundraising efforts to allow expand efforts in food fortification.
Provide support to CONFAM and program partners (industry, government, development partners) as follows :
1.Technical support
•Support capacity building efforts with regards to the fortification and distribution of wheat flour and edible oils, including industry assessments, training of industry partners, elaboration of training manuals and reinforcement of distribution mechanisms;
•Assist with the development of a revolving fund mechanism for premix procurement and ensure that industry partners understand and comply with conditions for participation ;
•Provide logistical support for the procurement of premix from the GAIN premix facility, ensure that orders are placed and delivered on time and payments are made;
•Support the development of national standards and a quality control and quality assurance framework, including the elaboration of protocols and training of stakeholders;
•Support an assessment of the National Laboratory for Hygiene, Food and Water in terms of equipment and training and assist with procurement and capacity building ;
.Support efforts in demand creation and the promotion of consumption of fortified foods, including formative research, development of IEC materials and advocacy campaigns;
•Develop a monitoring and evaluation framework and ensure monitoring, supervision and documentation of program activities including site visits;
•Support the planning and implementation of relevant baseline and end line surveys ;
•Report on program progress at CONFAM meetings and participate in relevant trainings and workshops (national and international).
2.Administrative and financial management
•In line with HKI procedures, draft sub-grant agreements with program partners and ensure that partners understand funding conditions and reporting mechanisms;
•Ensure that program partners submit progress reports on time and, in collaboration with the HKI Finance Manager, review partner financial reports;
•Draft and submit six monthly reports to donors in collaboration with the Project Director;
•Support the Project Director with the identification of new donors and the drafting of concept notes proposals for food fortification.
